Making headlights brighter? Options?

I have the factory HID headlights on my mini. They work ok, but unless my brights are on.....they really don't put out all that much light. I want something brighter that will project out farther in front of me.

What are my options (besides adding driving lights). Can I replaced the oem HID bulbs and put something brighter in?

If you have the D2S your bulb choices will be more than if you have the D2R.

IF you have D2S look into orsam CBI. But I would warn you should research for a reputable retailer as there are counterfeits. D2S bulbs at least the good ones from my knowledge retail for $100+ per bulb.

have you replaced the bulbs recently? I never realized how much degradation there was until I had to replace one due to an accident in another car. It was significantly brighter. So much so that I then replaced both bulbs in my MINI.

May want to polish out your lenses too. And change your marker and fogs to LEDs. Can also add a driving light kit.

If I order some new bulbs....are there any other there that are better than the rest? What type of HID bulb do I need for an 03' R53 Mini Cooper S?

Also...does anyone know which one of the adjusting screws on the back of the headlight assembly adjusts the lights up?

try eminiparts for your bulb for stock replacements. they're pricy but worth it.
