need some professional help from some experts

my buddy and i are rebuilding a mini r53 w11 motor. it spun a bearing and went through hell and back. he removed most of the components on a day i went to work. tried to off of pure memory thinking it wasnt gonna take too long. getting most of the parts back from the machine shop took weeks. and therefore his goldfish memory didnt stand a chance. i have some left over brackets that i have no idea where they go to. can anyone shed some light on this? thank you in advance. brian..

The crescent moon shaped piece fits next to the starter to keep crud out of the bell housing of the transmission.

Part #10 here - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...16&hg=23&fg=15

The top piece in your picture I am a little less sure about - I think it holds the wiring harness in the same area (where the starter bolts to the back of the engine) - it has two closely spaced holes, I think one fits over a locating stud, the other is for one of the starter bolts.

Lower left is the wiring harness bracket that is held by the bell housing bolt under the thermostat housing.

Middle 2 is the brackets that go under the bumper bolts to support the front plastic rad support.

Lowr right is cover that goes under the starter around the pass axle where it goes into the trans. held in by 2 10mm bolts

Top middle is the bracket that holds the wiring harness going to the A/C compressor and Crank sensor. The bell housing bolt under the black supercharger inlet tube holds this.

Thank you so very much gentlemen. Much appreciated, the only issue now is that I've already installed the engine into the car and pretty much bolted all of it up. Lol I wonder how much work it's gonna take to put these back on correctly..

I would say that the most important one is the bell housing shield. Don't worry about the harness brackets, and the bumper support brackets can be replaced without messing with the engine. Your goldfish-memory buddy actually did it on purpose: he's improving performance by cutting weight!
