No High Beams on R53

Has anyone had the problem where your high beams either will not come on at all, or they come on once when selected but will not go off unless all the lights are turned off? I am wondering if this is a column-mounted selector problem, a relay problem, or something else. Thanks.

Wow, lets see if we can shed some super bright light on this... (sorry)

I would first check the relay, it is possible that the points are getting stuck and not releasing and this would be the easier of the two things to check first...

Under the Bonnet you should have something like this... I don't remember if it FL8 or FL12.. but if you turn on your lights and pull each one (One at a time and see which one is for High Beams) then swap them ... or you could just swap them with each other and see if the problem continues... if it does, them maybe look at the stalk switch.

Best of luck...

Motor on!
