Thought I should ask here before I break something. After removing the two screws holding the visor to the roof, I'm trying to disconnect it from the harness. I don't see any spring clips or the like. Do I simply pull it apart or is there a retainer inside the connector that needs a small screwdriver?

I figured it out. The rear view mirror uses similar if not the same connector. The sun visor connector is wrapped in cloth and hides a small tab. Working a small screwdriver into the connector on the side with all the small text released the tab and it pulled apart. Sometimes these little things slow me down the most.
