Tricky windows in heavy rain?

OK--I think I've heard of this before but couldn't find the thread. I *think* the windows are occasionally dipping down to their "open the door" position during heavy rainstorms when the car is just sitting parked. I'm not sure if they are actually moving down on their own when the car is off and locked, or if they come down but not back up when I open the door.

Anybody experienced this, and if so, have you bothered to get it fixed?

Thanks....I've already scolded my wife once for leaving the window down when she parked the car in the rain....oops.

Not a good thing !

I always close my windows no matter what the forcast, there's nothing worse than a "musty" smelling car.

I have not experienced what you are describing, but don't believe that would create enough of a gap to allow rain in. On my car the glass still covers the weatherstriping in the "bump down" position. If your window is not "bumping"
when closing you can reset the bump by lowering the window completely with the door open and then raise the window all the way up and continue to hold the toggle until the glass resets to the "bump" position

Yeah, I'm paranoid about windows closed whenever I'm not with the car...had a Saturn fill up the backseat footwells with 2" of water one time...long story but won't be making *that* particular mistake again.

The windows work absolutely as designed 99.9% of the time...just a couple times after hard rain they've seemed to be down that 3/4" when they shouldn't be.
