Quick questions

Hi guys, I'm about to order matching cooper s's for my dad and I (although we may get different colors). Any idea when the '05's will start production and details will be 100% finalized? Also, anyone know a dealer in or near CA that would get both of them for MSRP? What are the waitimes like at those dealers?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hey Patrick:

Sweet! Two MINIs in the same family. Most of us haven't had much luck in negotiating prices any less than MSRP, but since you might be buying two cars at the same time, you have some unique bargaining power. You should use it.

The '05s started production July 1. Mine was build on Sunday. Most of the specs have been finalized, with the exception of the pricing for the optional LSD (which will be available with the January builds) and some other stuff. Check out this article from motoringfile:

It came to a day when we were looking at a dealer and finally came to the point where it was who is buying one you or me? We did the only reasonable thing and decided and is a better conjunction than or

I'm not looking for getting $$$ off MSRP... I just want MSRP if I buy two. I have heard some dealers come off the markup for our order but 2k over on two 27k cars seems extreme.

Also, the MP3 compatible CD player says option on the mini.com site... is this an option not standard?

Thanks,
Patrick

 Try Julie from Classic Mini from Ohio... just ordered my 05 MCS from her at MSRP.... and she ships the car in a closed container.... I'm in So. Cal. so if you're looking to get it shipped (don't know where you are), try her... last I heard, there's 4 cars to be shipped in Sept. to Cal. and the more cars on the carrier, the cheaper it will be for all

Thanks for the info. If the dealers here are a pain I'll definately give her a call.
