Mod R53S vs mod Z3

fun factor? Suspension/engine modded r53S vs a Z3 2.8 with similar mods?

I have a r56 justa now, it's fun but it's my wife's so it's off limits for mods. I had a R56S but those are out of my price range for a toy.

I guess what kind of fun do you want? Where are you located? Does cold weather factor into your fun? My MINI is a DD/AutoX toy. It does it all for me. But that being said, if I were to pick up another car for a straight Toy, I'd be getting a RWD roadster. I have my sights set on a lot of roadsters actually. Z3/4, MX5, S2k, and MR2. Its still a few years out, but I'm already planning

toy car, can be down for mods however long it takes, that's fun in the curves, I have no interest in autox just the occasional tail of the dragon run

there are LS1 swap's for Z3's that are not too hard to do now if I get sick of the I6 power, I have a lift that makes it a lot easier

I would chose the R53, but I'm 6'5" and the R53 fits me like a very comfortable glove. I can't squeeze into the Z3s very well.

For a toy, no winter driving, z3 for sure. The mini is the last fwd car I will own. It handles amazing, but I prefer rwd.
