R53 tach/speedo face template

Hey fellow NAM'ers. I've been scouring the internets forever looking for a solution to this question, but it seems to elude the R50/52/53 family.

What I'm looking for is a template for the tach/speedo so I can make my own custom design (not a fan of the Outmotoring set). I'd like to use a template because my car is a daily so I can't take the original faces out for very long.

OR if anyone has already replaced their gauges, still has the original face and a scanner, would anyone be willing to send me a scan file of their OEM gauge face?

Just trying to think of options... Also, if someone has their old OEM faces but no scanner, I'd be willing to throw you some cash to send them my way.

Thoughts?

You could do that. I think once I either solve this template problem and actually start working on the design, I'll post some screenshots and if anyone likes them, I'll make a few extras.

I think I'll definitely open-source the template though. It's been way frustrating trying to find one and I wouldn't wish it on any other Gen-1 fan.

Why don't you just take yours out, scan it, and put it back? The tach is really easy.

Or buy a used tach from eBay. They seem to be running $30-$60.

Yeah, but I'd still need the speedo, so the way my brain is if I'm going to do one I might as well do the other. Might have to be tomorrow's project though... Doesn't look like anyone has their old gauges or a template.
