Defective vanity mirror holder.

Dear MINIUSA,

I own a 2002 MINI Cooper 5-speed, and I have been very happy with it except for one thing.

The vanity mirror holder for the driver is too large.

The other day, I was driving West into the setting sun, and the mirror holder completely blocked the sun from hitting my face.

As you may know, here in Minnesota, we greatly value our short summers, and we need all the sun we can get just to not look like lutefisk, so anything that blocks the sun is unnacceptable.

This is the first time in over 2 years that the mirror holder has blocked the sun, so it's ALMOST small enough.

If you could make them slightly smaller in future MINI vehicles, they would be perfect.

Thank you for a fine automobile.

As with most of your posts Trippy, I don't know whether to laugh, or feel sorry for all the marbles you've lost!

Trippy, I think you should do three things:

First, remove that heavy and oversized vanity mirror holder and learn to use the rear view and side mirrors for all of your vanity needs.

Second, open the sunroof (if applicable) so that you receive more intense UV radiation from the sun.

Third, consider shaving your head to increase the skin surface area exposed to the sun to further increase UV absorbtion as well as perhaps warm your brain back to a normal operating temperature.

If you ever saw my head, you'd know that shaving is not necessary.

I also noticed another defect on that vanity mirror... when I look at myself

in the passenger side side-mirror, I can get my big ol head in one shot,
but the vanity mirror can only get about 1/3 of my head...I think MINI
accidentally used the wrong glass.
