This is just too good!!, My first kit didn't have a CD, sorry, it was the Message Kit.

Yesterday after work I got my second package, the mug and CD. I thought the pen was pretty cool, too bad it doesn't fit the pen holder in the glove box.

So what else are we looking forward to ?.

Hello "rygold" in Toronto,

Yes Canadian MINI owners do get at least one package. We picked our car up on August 24-02 (July production) about a month later MINI sent a 7" X 9" 3 ring binder marked "OPEN IN CASE OF A MINI EMERGENCY" containing:
- a speeding excuse card (will only work if the officer has really good sense of humor and he/she only pulled you over to look at the car).
- a double parking excuse card (see previous note re sense of humor).
- info on MINI history, Canadian retailers, customer service, financial services, MINI accessories.
- last, but not by any means least, a coveted music CD which MINI claims should be used to cover any awkward silences that may occur because you have a boring passenger.

I hope you enjoy your LY/B MCS as much as we enjoy ours.

MINI Canada, I hope the coffee cup idea is already on the books, I've been looking for over 2 months for cups that fit the holders, without success.

MiniB

Well, I guess the mail to my neck of the woods is just slow, I got two packages from MINI USA today, the welcome to the neighborhood and the mug and CD, that answers my earlier question

P.S. My wife immediately confiscated the 'Hey Sexy' and 'Nice Smile' flashcards

I purchased mine at the first of October, the only thing I have received so far was a survey from the dealership on how they did. Do we all get them?? If so let the gifts begin!!!!

I just got the CD/Mug package today. A tip for those of you who have trouble installing the CD due to Quicktime: If you don't have quicktime on your computer, it will try to install it for you, however, it tells you that you have to shut down any programs already using quicktime. I was like "uhhhhhh"... so I searched my computer for Quicktime junk to no avail, and tried closing every proggy running, and it still didn't work. Tried restarting the computer. Nope. Then I thought for a second, maybe the MINI CD is using quicktime to tell me to install quicktime. Indeed it was. I went to Explorer and opened up the CD manually and installed quicktime from there, then everything worked. Someone at MINI must have overlooked that little thing, lol.

Been buying GM and Ford products brand new for years and what did they ever do for me after the sale? Nothin! Most of the salesman are great guys once you sign the purchase agreement, however, after you drive it off the lot your just another face in the crowd. So anyways, thanks Mini and BMW for thinking of me AFTER I drove my Mini after taking delivery. "Propaganda", no way, just good business practice. The big three could take a lesson from BMW.

Finally got my mug and I love it! Finally found something to fit in that cup holder! Plus I've been having fun with all the new tricks I've learned from the CD. Love it!!

I like all the packages, even though I never received the pen or the Smints.
Receiving these things from MINI makes me smile, and this carries over to
a glance at the MINI from the front, which makes the smile even wider.

Interesting. I only received the MINI (and smaller) coffee mug and luggage pamphlet. Unfortunately, I reacted too quickly and bought a MINI (smaller) coffee mug when I picked up MINIMUS. $12.50 !! Ah well, coffee is too critical to chance with "between the legs" balancing while motoring.

I have to believe the MINI NOTE is BMW/MINI's way of coverering their legal butts for creating a car to sell in the USA that doesn't support USA-sized cups.

Why oh why the orange top?!?! They should be available in all the same color combinations as the car. Mine would be yellow with a black top. Cool!

Well, I found that the MINI cup doesn't really fit in the MINI's front cup holder...you can get it in there, but you have to tip it at quite an angle to get it out (clearing the toggle switches). And thus if it's more than 1/2 full, it spills. I mentioned this to MINIUSA when they called me to check my satisfaction. The lady on the phone acknowledged that this was a "know issue" but that "regretably..."

Oh well, it looks nice on my desk.

I'm still wondering how many MINIs I have to buy to get anything??!!

It's been months and I haven't gotten anything. I've even contacted MINIUSA and they have promised on more than one occasion it was in the mail... ummmm... sorry, still nothing.

I never got a dealer survey either.... but that probably has something to do with me telling them while buying the car that I thought their service was poor. So, hmmm... can't imagine why I never got a survey.

I am shielding my eyes from everyone's posts. My Mini is on order. Please Private Message me as to when I can expect to start to receive packages from Mini. I am living at two places concurrently (moving) and would hate to have a package swiped.

HELP!

Don't know about what gives in your case. I bought mine off the lot on 9-21 and received my 1st package (Mug, Bingo, CD, Diary) around two to three weeks ago. The mug & CD were useful. Good Luck.

I just picked up my MCS and the dealer gave me the MINIunwrapped CD rom and a nice gift set of gourmet oil and vinegar in cool etched MINI bottles before I left. You should have bought your car from Bill Jacobs MINI in Chicago.
