One word - Monroe Strut Mate: DON'T!

Purchased (4) Monroe Strut-Mate strut bearings (front strut mounts), and installed when I updated the suspension on the (2) R53's on our household. Installed them carefully and properly. Torqued/tightened the right way, lower grease shield/washer properly installed.

The rubber separated on (3) of them within 1500 miles, (1) of them within 500 miles... and they're not warranteed. Waste of funds and (my) labor. Noted that the steel-rubber bonding surface was rusted when they separated.

Clearly the quality just isn't there. Buyer beware.
