Tinted Window Mistake!

I saw another MINI in my small town today.... a Black MCS. Not a big deal for some of you, but I live in a town of 15,000 residents (tourist town) and I don’t see too many that often. Anyway, I have tinted my window fairly dark and reached for my toggle switch to roll the window down to wave at the oncoming MINI and I adverted my attention back to the traffic in front of me to stop and raised my hand up quickly to wave and scrapped my watch up the newly tinted windows because the window didn’t roll down (hit the wrong switch). Man, I am not having any luck taking the best care of my new MINI. I’m off for the tint shop next week for a re-tint (is that a word?). I’ll be spending more MSUs (MINI Spending Units) on my own dumb mistake it seems!!!!

Worst part is the other guy was completely oblivious and didn’t even see me. Aghh!!!!!

Some tints give a warrantee against scrapes. Ask your dealer if ur covered.

Not the best to have happen. But at least you tried to best to pass on a MINI greeting to a fellow driver. Some people just drive MINIs I guess. While most of us are a part of them. 'A' for effort though. Better luck next time. I know about the mistake. I went for my window once and hit the traction conrtol instead.
Cheers,

After I scratched the paint on the interior of my MINI, I went out and bought a rubber watch. I know you feel bad but it's the kind of thing that could happen to any of us.

It'll be fixed and fine in no time.

I've slapped the Invisibility...er DSC switch instead of the window switch several times trying to wave to another MINI. Now I just leave the windows down, 89 degrees and 85% humidity and all.

Some of us have all the luck.

Sorry to hear about this misshap. Hopefully you can get it mended ok.
Pretty risky being friendly. Maybe that is why not everyone waves back to me. They are busy trying to drive and not get into trouble- a reasonable thing to do.

Accidents do happen. make sure those things in the boot are closed nice and tight before you try spirited driving.

Spilled milk, err paint.

Somehow everytime I see that picture it reminds me that my troubles are pretty small.

Here is the short version of the story of that tragedy.

Two gallons of blue paint on the way to the store to get returned.
The lids were not on as well as they could be.
Tight turn and the blue liquid was all over the place in a hurry.
New trunk color and a mess to clean up.
I don't think he'll do that again anytime soon.
