Engine Temp. Gauge sky rocketed

So i went through the car wash the other day and when the belly sprayer hit the car my gauge skyrocketed and the light started blinking, so i got out afterwards and checked my antifreeze and oil witch were both really low so i topped them back off, the strange thing is i added antifreeze and got an oil change not even 2000 miles ago, does anyone know what could be wrong?

Have no idea where your coolant and engine oil went but not checking either for nearly 2000 miles? You should be checking all that stuff at least every time you refuel. Cars start leaking that kind of stuff as they age, a little loss is normal for an older machine. Gaskets and seals don't last forever.

Oh, and just a hint. A lot of guys post a little more information as to what they are driving like what year, what model, how many miles on the clock, any extraordinary mods that might have an influence on performance, that kind of stuff.

Did the belly sprayer dislodge your oil cooler or bust your PS fan & in turn blow your rad fan fuse?

Check fuse f5 under the bonnet. The cooling fan and PS cooling fans were on the same circuit in 2002. Make sure you check the PS fan to determine if it turns freely.
