checkered in ohiol

my wife and kids wanted the checkers on our pepper white with black roof. i resisted initially but then caved. i love the checks.. we have checks on roof, mirror covers and valve stem caps. love the looks. if you are in the witness protection program, skip them, because the car gets a LOT of attention ( not my motive for getting them, mind you, as i am a 'brisk' driver. am attaching a pic. the cars are supposed to be fun and this screams fun. other car is a sports car and it stays parked a lot now.

Nice PW with checkers!

That's what I think I want for my PW/B Cooper, but I have been concerned that the pure white of the checkers would look odd with the pepper white of the car. I haven't seen one in person, although in the pictures it looks nice. Good to see that cooperflags can do pepper white checks. Now, if anyone has pics of the pepper white and black checkers....

I like the checkertop because it helps break the light-ness of the yellow color. I guess it depends on what color car you are looking at. Oh Hey, I'm new here. I drive a 2004 yellow MINI Cooper with checker top, and the only other thing I have on it is the sports wheele w/ cruise control. I have made a few trips to Disney and back and it was great on the highway. If anyone is interested in a rally or a motoring party i nthe Tampa bay area tell me. But good luck on the roof choice.!

Welcome, Checkerboy!! Love the pics of your MINI! Be sure to check out the regional forums here, especially the Florida one...and visit sunshineminis.org which is a fun Florida-based MINI site!

My static-cling Union Jack sunroof flag blew off in Florida on my recent roadtrip, but I ordered a permanent UJ from Matt at Cooperflags...still haven't installed it! One of these days....! Looks great on Wanda....the contrast with the all-black is awesome!

Yeah, monochrome. I really like the look, although I'd never owned a black car before. I did more damage to the paint just washing it in the first two weeks than I ever thought possible.

Still, I'm holding out for a good buffer from Griot's Garage and someone to show me how to use it!
