My regulator went out and I want to replace the whole unit. Are there certain places to stay away from or anything to watch out for when buying a regulator?

I want to replace the entire complete unit, with the motor.

The reviews on that link speak volumes about how crappy a number of aftermarket window regulators are. I once bought a new aftermarket one for a Honda and guess where it ended up? Even more telling the seller just flat refunded the money and I did not have to ship it back.

Your results may very, but considering how un-fun this stuff is buy genuine parts.

 

Is it difficult to install the motor if the regulator is purchased separately?
