I purchased a Used 03 R53 mini and only got the no fob key with it.

Ok I need this Dumbed down for me.

I found the programming for a key fob but from my understanding this is to reconnect an existing fob correct?

From all my searching I will have to take the fob and car to the dealer 3 hours away.

but Im still at a complete loss how he connected to the car to get the fob programmable.

what am i missing?
