Cooper s hood on r50

Well my friend backed into my car and instead of going through insurance he's fixing out of pocket. He got me the cooper s hood and his dad brought up the question. Being that the mini has the center intake hole and the s intake through the hood will the extra airflow disrupt the pressure under the hood? Could it cause any problems? Will I need to block off the hood scoop?

you could block it off, if not itll keep your engine slightly cooler, i doubt there would be any issues

I'd block it off....
No need to get the extra drag, dirt and water into your engine bay...
Would not worry about it being perfect....but you do not need the airflow.
