Hey guys! So first snag with the new mini :( . My license plate bulbs are no longer functioning. I went to replace said bulbs and the entire socket was completely corroded away to nothing. After taking off the rear hatch handle I went and purchased two short LED strips as replacement. After stripping the wires and (i thought) wiring them correctly, I reconnected the main connecter. After testing the lights (they didn't work) I noticed that I was getting no power whatsoever to the rear hatch handle. The trunk would not respond to the click of the button. If anyone has suggestions I've searched everywhere and not many people go into detail with this process. I just need to know what color is ground,positive, and negative.

The colors I have to choose from are Grya with orange line, gray with yellow line, reddish orange.

And until I get this fix I am unable to drive at night since they are not lit up :( any help is awesome!
