My MINI was made in England by a company of German parentage. It was delivered to the United States of America. Every page of the written material that accompanied my new car (owner's manual, radio manual, service booklet, warrenty info, and dealer directory) was written exclusively in English. Why then I ask is half the door jamb sticker with tire inflation pressure information written in French? I recently watched a Merchant's Tire shop employee study that sticker for a good five minutes, trying to figure it out. I too find it quite confusing.

 

Sounds like a Canada compliant sticker - most Canadian product labels are required to be in both English and French.
