The things you find when installing new parts

I went to install the TSW upper engine mount, I did powerflex bushings for everything else, and decided to do my belt tensioner as well being I noticed the little hydraulic pump on the tensioner was wet. What I found once I began removing the splash guard and everything else was unexpected. The little hydraulic pump had snapped off AND my crank bolt was missing. It felt like my belt had been slipping just a hair but I didn't expect that. Who knows how long it had been like that. My buddy owned the car before and was surprised cause he had put loctite on the crank bolt. I'm very lucky to have caught this before it's too late, car feels much better now with the new parts! Figured I'd share my experience, couple things worth watching for in my opinion!

that is definently a lucky find!.... i guess the press and the belt were the only thing holding on the crank pulley

That's what I was thinking. I'm surprised the belt held period. Between the broken tensioner and crank pulley I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger problem. I think of all the times Ive got on the car or how much I drive.. definitely lucky!
