Where is the drain on 2002 MCS?

Hi all,

When it's raining outside, where in the drains does all the water go on the Mini Cooper? Reason for me asking is that a technician said that one of the drains on my MCS was clogged, but I can't find the drain anywhere. So if someone could explain (in words or with a pic) where the drains are that could be clogged, I would highly appreciate it. And before anyone asks why I didn't have the technician show me, he is far bit off and I wasn't the one who picked up my car from the shop

Best Regards,
Alex

Here is a thread on the drain tubes from the MINI with the sunroof. Usually clogs and leaks in the foot wells/ headliner for the front, and the trunk ( boot) bottom floor. Check all those areas.

Thanks

Thanks for the response Mike

I don't have a sunroof but I have had water in the passenger footwell,
But that was fixed with new piller gaskets. But my windshield still gets
Soaking wet on the inside sometimes. Also my trunk where the battery
Sits is also containing water. Is there any rain drains in the front on
Non-sunroof cars? Thanks for any and all responses,
Best Regards / Alex

For non sunroof MINI, I would check the A pillar panel on both sides. #4

Also check the original window around the seam , some glass shops don't seal the window all the way with the sealant and water can get in that way.

Last but not least would be the door gaskets. If they are not tucked in all the way around and the glass is not lined up you might get some water in that way.

If you have water in the passenger side also check the plastic section that protects the HVAC system from water, it sets right behind the ABS module to the fire wall. Might be missing from someone messing with it i the firewall, water can come down through the little grille s in the cowl section right below the window and if it is not there water gets into the footwell.

#2 in the diagram.

Thanks
