R50/53 My 05 MCS Q? What do ya think?
OK so here is what I am thinking:
Chili Red / White w/stripes
Premium (3 spoke)
Sport (performence)
sense wipers/auto dim mirror.auto headlights/garage door openor
Interior surface body color
Chrome Interior
Chrome Exterior
Chrono cockpit pack (gages)
Dark Blue leather? or black leather/red cloth combo?
Does the dark blue leather have red stitching? Its hard to make out the color.
Too much chrome?
Do you think the chrome and red dash will look good?

If you're asking... I'd go for a stripped car.
- S-lites are mondo heavy, and ride quality is poorer
- Stock halogen headlamps are more than adequate and can be upgraded with aftermarket bulbs for under $100 if you must
- with traction control, ABS and EBD, DSC is probably excessive, but definitely can be justified as a safety feature ($500)
- sunroof is heavy and deafeningly loud when open at anything over 30mph
- reports are that cruise control doesn't work very well, and is somewhat out of place on the Mini
- radio controls are already on the radio
- auto-climate blah blah is just silly
- Mini leather is cheap and poorly fitted
Definitely go for the stipes and chrome if you dig them, but I'd avoid the other options and save your $.

Minininja-- Hi. sounds like a geat car. Your choice
of red shows something about your personality, (what,
I'll leave to you). Options are such a personal choice...
Me, I wouldn't do blue interior with a red exterior.
Godspeed.

i agree with alfa to some extent.
1. the s-lite rims are very heavy, and very ugly. save money right at this step and get new rims and tires elsewhere, you'll be happy you did. the runflats are expensive and heavy and arent as grippy as aftermarket. IF you live where there is snow, buy 15" rims with the car and that way you can mount snows on in the winter and take off your nice 17" aftermarket rims with your summer tires on 'em.
2. i like my sunroof. and i live in Maine where i can only open it for about 3 months

Yea I did not want the leather either. I thought that the leather was very cheap and the letherette was very nice. But Then I saw the lumbard support. I probebly will go with the black leather/red cloth combo or the letherette.
I deffently want the sunroof and snow is not an issue for me being here in Miami. I can open that sunroof just about 9 months out of the year. the other 3 its too hot.
I like the safety o f DSC and Xenons. Also with the heavy rain that we get here (usually for 10 minutes) I want the rain sensor. As about the climate control I will quote my favorite infomerical "just set it and forget it".
For the S-lites. I dont really like them and I think that there will be an option for a 17" 5 spoke wheel. I will prob go with those if its a factory option (dealer wheels are way too much $$$$).
I think the concensus is there that dark blue seats with a CR/W car look bad! To be honest I really wanted aftermarket leather anyway. I saw a leather redo in an Altima that was to dye for. I will prob keep the dealer seats for a year and then change them. I gotta forget that pain of the $25-$27k check!

I agree with Alfa except:
- The MFSW is hella useful. It's arguably a safety feature since you don't have to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road to mess with the radio. Start a thread called "Should I get the MFSW with my new MINI" and check the responses.
Also, there was talk that the latest software release had a positive effect on the cruise control performance.
- The Xenons are just plain cool.
