Strange Metallic Scraping Noise

Hey guys, I started up my car the morning (it was around freezing temp) and when I pulled away after warming it up for a few minutes, I notice a scraping noise from the front of the car. It only made the noise while the car was moving, and when I took off from a stop it wasn't there until a few seconds later. I'll try to get more info in a few hours, but does anything come to mind for you guys as to what it could be? Sounds like scraping metal, from the front of the car. It is heard very clearly. Thanks guys.

Wheel bearing to me.

Jack up your car and spin the wheels, see if you hear the scraping. It's a couple hour job at the most.

Backing plate behind the rotor is more likely. Wheel bearing issues don't just appear overnight. Cold temps shrinking metal is way more likely as they often only have a few mm of clearance as it is. Jack the car up and look at the plate behind the rotor to see if at any edge is touching the rotor. If it is, just pry/push it back with a big ol' screwdriver. Just be sure not to mar the face of the rotor. If you don't visually see it, then jack up all 4 wheels and give them a spin and see if you hear it. It's usually pretty high pitched.
