I hit a pothole at 50mph. Perelli 205/45-17 runflat on my MCS suffered what is called an "impact injury" when the side wall of the tire got pinched against the rim. Perelli said this is not covered under warranty--low profile, high performance tire are apparently not made to handle potholes! Replacement tire cost me $235. You've been warned--watch out for potholes!

Well México City is the pothole Capital City of the World, each year I have to buy at least 2 tires.
That is something that I love about California, when I was living there (San Diego), once when I damage a wheel and tire, I filed a complaint and got throw the mail a check to cover the damage and buy a new one.

Nope. Detroit is where US car companies test how new cars handle potholes. I hit one in my 91 Eagle Talon a week after I got it that bent the wheel so bad that I had to replace it, as well as the tire.

Yeah that happened to me. Be thankful, Johnandrhonda, that you didn't bend the wheel!

I was driving a prosche boxster in NYC about a month ago and I hit a pothole that blew a hole in the sidewall of its tires, pirellis, (215/... r17, low profiles made for porsche) and it cost $275 for a new tire, but i had to get on for the other side as well. add on labor and it was about $700 from a pothole! major ouch!
