I finally came up with a name for my MCS. Hopefully this is an original idea.

R2D2 (from starwars) R2 always had some surprising tricks up his sleeves.

Whatdyathink?

Two comments come to mind:

1. Talk about "delusions of grandeur".

2. I have a bad feeling about this.

Seriously, though, cool name.

I applied for the tags but was denied, so it will be run of the mill digits for me. Makes me wonder what kind of car is running around the great state of Colorado with R2D2 on his tag.

Going to be the dissenting person here. Never been a fan of using popular names such as this. But to each his own.

Finally named mine this week as well. Got a friend to translate "Red Thunder" into Scot Gaelic. See my sig.

Yeah, I might tend to aggree on the popular name thing, but when it popped into my head it made me smile. I like the gaelic thing though, pretty cool.

Yeah, picking a name is tough. I worked at mine for a long time but never did come up with a good one. So I ended up with Minisql (miniscule) cause it fits on the plate.

Oh...I'd thought you were a database programmer and chose that name. SQL is the language that a good portion of modern databases are in. My bad....

Just goes to show how names can be mis-interpreted to whatever is relevant to the reader.

R2D2, always my favorite little robot.
My MCS is named Hansum Rob...after the Italian Job character, plus he's actually that dern handsome. I want to get plates that read MYTMINI. I think that would be sweeet. Maybe you could get plates that read R 2 D 2 instead of R2D2...just a thought.

mmmm, I too side against popular names. just screams "No.1 Star Wars Fan". besides Lucas is gonna be pissed.

please take no offense, just MHO, ultimately if it makes you smile, so much the better.

on the other hand, maybe you could get creative with a R2D2 dome roof design.

Personally, I like your sig pick and would have named it "Gripper"

Cheerio

Massachusetts has all kinds of little character separator type things for liscense plates. I see that lightning thing like in AC/DC's logo all the time. Maybe there are others. R2-D2, R2 D2, R2*D2. Don't give up so easily!

Mine's got kind of a dumb name. I picked this when I was asked repeatedly if I 'named' mine.

Think of it as a "little tuff f()k" ......Green jobs look kind of grunt
"My MINI" kind of works for me.Name wise

I think Earl Gray is a very good name.

Speaking of names, I know a lady that really wants a Cooper, and oddly her last name is Cooper.

Just in case this gets brought up, there has been a thread already on whether or not Minnie Driver is a MINI driver, as well as Winnie Cooper, etc.
I named my MCS: Alexis, after the founder of the original Mini- Alec Issigonis. I just put a female spin on the name and got Alexis.
Just thought of something. Guess if you have a Lexus, the name Alexis would be a good plate as well.
Cheerios,
