My MCS replaced a 1994 Integra that I bought new and drove for 10 years. Bullet proof car! Tires, brakes, windshield wipers, oil changes and a starter a few months before I sold it (My MINI was on order when it crapped out!). But, they have no soul! I have driven 60's Alfas for 25 years so I was taking a big risk getting a British car as a daily driver, gave up on the Alfa's daily years ago. The conservative, middle class, dentist in me said to get the RSX. But for once in my life I didn't listen to that part of me. I didn't even drive the RSX, or WRX (another car I thought I "should" get). I just knew the MINI was for me.
However, I can support the originator of the thread, due to his problems and long commute. I wish him well.

2003 DS/B MCS- currently at Brecht getting the rear bumper replaced thanks to Mr no insurance and no driver's license that rearended me on Mother's Day! :evil:

 

Most Hondas are without a soul, I agree. That was the reason my wife traded in her Accord on a Beetle. There are some Honda/Acura models that are a lot of fun. The Prelude, RSX, S2000 come to mind.

my 03 MC/CVT is worth $1000 MORE than what I piad for it almost a year ago .. accoring to KBB and Edmunds ... and I have almost 10K miles on it
