What to do with 2004 Mini

I decided not to go ahead with needed repairs to my 04 manual Mini. It needs a catalytic converter and a water pump and probably new tires. 154k miles.
It has a new muffler system and radiator.
What should I do with it?

Um....put a new converter on it, a new water pump, and new tires. Problem solved

base or S?

Base Cooper, or S? If an S and you decide to part it out, let me know as I've got an '04 S and could use a decent replacement exhaust as my passenger side muffler has gotten quite rusty. I'm in Manchester NH.

Gift it to me so my kid and I can have a father/son project for his first car. He loves MINIs and I'm sure we can find lots of stuff to do on in. I'm not calling your maintenance into question, I'm just saying we'd go through it thoroughly so he'd learn brakes, the cooling system, oil changes, suspension, etc.

doing the repairs yourself? could be the game-changer here.

Ha Ha
wife has a 06, needed brakes. Did all the work myself-brake pads, rotors and all four wheel bearings-saved a ton. Get the Bentley manual, it really helped. And a torque wrench.

Do you ditch a car every time it needs new tires?
I mean, it's cheaper to get new tires...

magnaflow cats are $80 and having them welded in for another $20, waterpump should be a fairly simple fix.... and tires? keep it

could also run without a cat and get a spacer
