I've re-posted this here so anyone can reply to it. Vendor Announcements appear to be locked.

The Yahoo group to join this event and get up to the minute updates is
Yahoo Group

Please join and cheer us on even if you are not in Los Angeles.

Southern California MINI owners, members of http://c3club.org and some members of SCMM are making T-shirts to sell to the public. They will feature a patriotic paint scheme MINI on the front and the logos of supporting vendors, clubs and organisations on the back. All profit from the T shirts will be given to the Disabled American Veterans Organizations Charitable Service Trust.

We are seeking a small $25 donation along with your (2 color limit to be printed in the color scheme of the shirt) logo art in .ai, .eps or 300dpi .psd format to help fund the purchase of these shirts and to purchase window flags for participating cars for this event. Your donation will also get you one of the shirts, some cheap publicity as we hope to be covered by the media but more importantly the appreciation of our Disabled American Veterans.

Additional shirts are available for $12 at http://motorswag.com
Anyone can purchase a shirt for $12 .
Shirts for Parade Participants will be distributed at the event.
Others will be mailed June 1 If you're in town and want a shirt but can't join us for the whole event, meet us along the way at various stops and pick up your prepaid shirt ..

Window decals and dash plaques are coming.

Sorry for the short notice. Some good ideas come later than others.

I'm setting up a link at http://www.motorswag.com which will accept your donation and give you a receipt for tax purposes. That link will appear here in a few minutes.

Contibute HERE

email your art sized to fit in a 2x4 inch or 3x3 inch space to jeff@miniswag.com. by 5pm PDT Monday May 23rd

I'm donating the screenprinting and the time to coordinate the production.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Individual Sponsors:
A NAM member has suggested that individuals be able to sponsor the event.
Cool. We will add your name as you want it to appear for a $16 sponsorship.
You must do this by tonight MIDNIGHT tonight MONDAY May 25.
This link is also at http://www.motorswag.com

You can view the DAV website at http://dav.org

The following is reprinted from there.:

PRIMARY CONCERNS of the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust.

Programs supported by the Trust target several groups of physically and psychologically disabled veterans. Key programs include:

Helping to maintain a volunteer-operated transportation network providing rides to sick and disabled veterans needing transportation to and from VA medical centers for treatment;
Providing food and shelter and connecting homeless and needy veterans to essential medical care, VA benefits counseling and job training;
Meeting the special needs of veterans faced with specific disabilities such as blindness and amputation;
Supporting significant therapeutic initiatives;
Supporting physical and psychological rehabilitation projects aimed at some of America`s most profoundly disabled veterans; and
Bringing hope to the forgotten and suffering families of disabled veterans.

The Trust constantly seeks new ways of making a difference in veterans` lives. Here are examples of additional service programs supported by the Trust:

Assistance to veterans suffering from substance abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder;
Health promotion programs for aging disabled veterans; and
Nursing and health promotion programs to ensure quality health care for veterans and increase awareness of issues of concern to veterans and the health care professionals who care for them.

Jeff has a notice on the vendor page asking for sponsorships of the shirts. I suggested he make it available to all NAM members. We could pay for the sponsorship and add a bit about ourselves. I put tmgrobyn NAM member #795 March 2002 as my sponsir info. Let's all get behind this fund raiser and by a shirt and a sponsor space! :smile: :smile: :smile:

Great suggestion Robyn. Are you going to motor with us on Monday? Come on guy and girls--instead of sleeping in on Monday morning, come motor with us, show some colors, and lets cruise! It's going to be a blast!

Monday's run is looking good! A few of us are going to run the route tomorrow to check it out. We're expecting about 20 MINI's so far, but the more the merrier. If you're interested in coming, download the flyer:
