Hey everyone wondering if someone can help me, i have an 05 Mcs and it has a huge miss issue. started off missing mid rpm not really getting on it, then i got on it a little one day and it died at a red light, and misses horribly at stop at times if i baby it it runs great. well today i floored it pulling out of a parking lot and it died no miss anything just got to abput 2500 and notta. replaced coil, wires, and plugs. no check engine light.
until today i replaced my fuel filter, now it has a surping noise coming from the filter area and a cel. can anyone help me?

Could it be a bad fuel pump? If it was me...I could be finding out where the slurping noise by the filter is coming from.

You would think that a lean fuel condition would give a check engine light.

 

Yea. I think my canister isn't tight enough. Iv left the cover off to find out. Changing the filter has made it run better tho

 

check the seals on the filter housing it could be leaking in the tank.

 

Thanks way. Iv had nothing but problems the past week. New coil and filter i think its fixed but its leaking gas on top of tank so i think i didn't get it tight enough or the seal in good enough. That might be what's making the noise.

 

Check out your ignition, specifically your wires and coil pack. I had misfiring issues and it was due to bad ignition wires. Spray water on them in the dark and look for arcing electricity. if you don't see anything, they're good.
