Jack Pad Install

I recently purchased a green mini with a missing Jack Pad. I ordered the part, it was cheap, although it appears the install is rather flimsy. Has anyone added silicone or some type of glue to make the Jack Pad stay put? Any recommendation on how to make these things stay put? I have no desire to spend 100 for the aluminum ones.

I just got one, snapped in nice, then I pushed in the pin.

You may have seen those two-leg hinged lags, that are made to anchor a hook to a sheetrock ceiling. Fold it in half, poke it through the hole, then it opens up, it has a nut in the center,.... I saw some aftermarket ones that looked like that.

It shouldn't take much to hold it in place.

Exactly,... I didn't know what it was called. I searched, this is it. Probably a finder washer too.

I bought the one where it snaps in with the push pin. I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to install it with silicone or something. Anyhow. Its installed. My tube of black silicone was dried up. Oh well. Install was easy. I hope these do not fall out too easily.

F1USGP - Comes on you MINI ( dependent on model ) and here is a link to location. Used as a jack point so you don't damage the rocker panel.

Thanks
