R50/53 FAVORABLE CONFRONTATION
On my way home from work today I just happend to meet a VW Turbo "S". I was hoping to meet one of these on the road just to see what the outcome would be. It was favorable  We seemed to be pretty close off the line but once my "S" hit around 4300 rpm. it was the beginning of the end for him
Try as he might, he just couldn't keep up. Nice looking car but no match for the MCS. I'm stone stock (for now) and I'm guessing he was too. It must have been a sight to see, 2 men in their mid 50's weaving in and out of traffic at speed and then getting side by side and hammering it

roadglide,
Let me refer to the NAM site guidelines which read:
Street Racing & Excessive Speed Discussions
Posts and discussion of personal involvement in street racing or excessive speeding will be edited and/or deleted at the discretion of the moderators without notice. These activities are considered illegal in all states. North American Motoring will not condone such activities, as other safer, controlled alternatives exist. For more information on these alternatives visit http://www.scca.org and http://www.bmwcca.org for information on track and autocross training/events.
--------
Although no one got injured from your experience, accidents do happen. We would prefer that your spirited driving be done at safer venues such as autocross or at track events on closed courses. Please keep these guidelines in mind.
Thanks and Live Aloha.
