05 mini r50 . Does it have a lsd ?

I'm planing on changing the trans fluid in my 05 mini r50 5 speed . I'm getting confused on which fluid to use because I'm not sure if I have a limited slip differential . The sticker on my trans says mtf-94 . I decoded my vin but it doesn't say anything about which type of transmission it had other then being manual .

Will I be safe running redline MTL 70w80 ?

I looked at redline's website and they recommend d6 ATF which is very thin compared to the mtf 70w80 . Now I'm even more confused .
It seems everyone on here likes the redline mtf and say it feels smoother but they are also talking about a 6 speed on cooper s . Does anyone have any info on a r50 non s ?

One more bit of info to confuse you...
In 2005, mini switched transmissions on the r50...
The trouble prone midlands unit was discontinued...
And a unit from the same maker (getgag, spelling) as the r53 was used....
The general trend in most car parts is to use thinner oils to increase efficiency....
A few folks that have switched to regular mtf oils have said it made shifting very stiff in cold temps....
One tip....some dealers will sell you the speciality lubes from their bulk tanks if you bring in your own container...that way you have no worries about causing issues from using the wrong fluid....

I guess my question now is , redline mtl or d6 ? Thick or thin ?

I looked at royal purples we site and they recommend syncromax to replace the factory mtf -lt3. I've heard nothing but great things about rp and rl but the rp i can get locally but it's more costly .

Will the thinner gear oil provide as smooth if not smoother shifts then the thicker oil?
Has anyone run into this dalima before?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm just critical when it comes to my cars.
Thanks for any info

LSD has never been an option on the Cooper, so an R50 isn't going to have it.

Has anyone had any better luck with the redline mtl over the redline d6atf ?

Will the thicker vescosity of the mtl give me a smoother shift and a quieter tranny ?
