R50/53 Service engine soon light on
There are so many things that could cause this light to come on. Ideally you need a code reader ( scan guage , etc) or pay a shop to do it. This is only half the battle as you'll then need to fix the problem.
I would check that the level of coolant is acceptable as you've had recent work done here. Also check that your gas cap is tightened properly - if not, air will leak by causing the check engine light to illuminate.

When the oil change was performed, was the countdown-miles-clock till next inspection (service) reset?
But no yellow light....
To the OP.... Till you get the car plugged into a code reader....it is just a guess...there are THOUSANDS of codes......
Hi, on mine it turned out to be the pre-catalytic converter O2 sensor. The dealership wanted around $360 to replace it, but you can find the part for around $25.
