So I get my car washed the other day and in my cupholder when I get in is a white spring that is encased in clear plastic. I have no idea what it is. I ask my girlfriend when I get home and she says "Oh yeah I forgot, I was driving and it fell on my friends feet." So I'm inclined to believe that it came from somewhere under the glovebox. Does anyone know what thiis spring is for or where it goes?

Chris

it connects your glovebox vent to your heater

Mini Street Racer is correct. Mine fell out when I was de-rattling my glovebox. You just gotta crawl up in there an reconnect it.

I remember finding the same thing and spending couple days trying to figure out what it was. It will easily pop into its proper position which is easy enough to find. Look inside your glovebox to see where the air vent is, then look underneath the footwell and match the hose up to the 2 holes where it should fit easily back into.

I ask my girlfriend when I get home and she says "Oh yeah I forgot, I was driving and it fell on my friends feet."
What your girlfriend meant to say was: "I was driving and my friend was kicking everything she could until she dislodged something"

From the title of the thread I was expecting to see pictures of white powdercoated lowering springs!
Neat idea. How about a white rear swaybar?
Live dangerously.

Here's an idea-
Paint your springs and rear swaybar a glow in the dark color and attach an ultraviolet under chassis light to use at night. Instant Halloween suspension in glowing green.

I think some Hawaii residents need to get off the Island and prevent themselves from going stir crazy.......
