what does a blister look like? I swear I've only parked my darling Camel in the sun a total of 10 times in the 18 months Ive owned it.

My '03 also got blistery and peeled - so I traded it for a '05 MCSC JCW!

Same problem with my 03 when it was under 10k miles. I used to drive a lot with my hands at 12 0 clock high, but now I've switched to 9 & 3 and I haven't had any problems. Mine wasn't sun related, it was wear on the front of the steering wheel where my hands usually were.

It was replaced under warranty, but I was really hoping to have a "survivor car"

Not many of those, I think
