Does anyone know where I can find an A/C clutch coil for a R53 compressor, my compressor works fine but the clutch kicks on and off. Compressors are so expensive.

 

I just bought a new one off of eBay, it was right at $100 with shipping. That seems to be the only place you can find them now. When I found it there were a few others for sale. Installing it tomorrow, hoping everything goes well. If I hadn't found that, I was going to grab a new Delphi compressor off of Amazon.com; $324 shipped.

 

the compressor is cheapest at rockauto.com can you let me know if it works asap?? cuz then I will buy one there too

Worked like a charm. Be careful removing the old one, though; the main bolt isn't meant to come out, it's got some serious lock-tite on there. Mine actually broke off, but we managed to get it out. Came close to having to buy a new compressor.

 

Sorry about that. Yes it worked. I just installed in on Monday.
