Looking for a little guidance... I have an 04 MCS (production date 10/2003) and was hoping to upgrade my beat up handbrake console to the "post-facelift" longer handbrake console. The problem is that my MCS has a soft touch feel to it and has a bit of a dark gray color (I thought this was panther black) I ordered the newer console in panther black (only option) it arrived and looks and feels nothing like the my current console. It truly is a dark black but is also much more plastic-y. I thought perhaps this was just a change that occurred with the facelift so I sent it back and ordered what I thought would be a direct replacement... again came in looking too black and hard plastic see the image for a comparison. Does anyone know
1) Is my original console also panther black?
2) If yes, why is it different? (don't tell me sun fade )
3) Has anyone seen the newer, post-facelfit handbrake console in a color similar to my original?
4) If yes, know of anyone wanting to sell? I've checked ebay and can only find a darker one.
