Apparently those amazing folks at BMW/Rover were in some way able to even capture the famous driving position quirks inherent to MINI's classic predecessor. Maybe not as extreme...the steering isn't exactly off-center...but looks like long-haul motoring can still leave one stiff and achin'.

Just an alternate perspective: could we not consider this part of the primal Mini experience?!?!?!?!

(seriously, sorry y'all are hurting...looks like some good suggestions here to try out. I was just reading this thinking of similar classic Mini-related stories.:smile

Knee Problems

My gas pedal foot is usually positioned at about a 45 degree angle to the right. Because the pedals are so close (and I sometimes wear clunky soled shoes), it keeps me from hitting both the gas and brake at the same time on my 02 MC CVT. Recently I've been having knee problems and I am starting to think my foot position in the car is either the cause of them, or is exacerbating it. I guess I should fiddle with the seat position to see if I can find one that is more accommodating to the foot, as opposed to my general comfort.

I don't have any problem with my leg going numb, but I do get a bad case of the frosted butt everytime I see how much premium fuel is costing.

Ya know it used to be when ever the oil companies wanted to raise the price of fuel they would come up with some story about how some refinery was down for repairs so that would be the reason to jack up the price for a few days.

Heck now days they use an excuse like the hurricane hitting Florida and a few off shore gas rigs will be down for one or two days while the storm passes and get 12 to 15cents more per gallon for fuel for the next month or so.

Yep the oil companies just laugh and tell us comsumers to just bend over and get use to it That's the real reason my butt hurts
