Tire wouldn't hold air and i didn't see any; nails, screws, or holes. So i took it to the tire shop and they showed me this. I think i know where the air was leaking. All 4 tires replaced.

You gotta be kidding! Too bad tires don't smell bad when they die, you would have at least had an earlier clue. BTW, how many miles did you wring out of that set?

 

not entirely sure on the miles, they came with the car. But the PO said they were less than a year old. Tread life says maybe two years. They didn't ride or sound differently. I thought i had a bad valve core as there was no damage to the contact surface. Even the tire guy had to pull the tire to see the damage. My wife had this tire on the interstate yesterday. Thank God the tire didn't completely come apart then. We are fortunate.

 

Don't EVEN start thinking of all the 'woulda - coulda - shoulda'. You'll drive yourself nuts. Dang lucky the both of you.

 

New tires. All is well. Tomorrow alignment and one ball mod.
