I'm looking into an LED tail light upgrade, I have a pre-facelift car with the reverse light in the lower bumper.

Are the 05+ tail lights (facelift) a direct plug and play or will I need to do a slight rewire for the reverse lights? I searched and couldn't find anything!

The 05-06 taillights plug in just fine on the prior years. I have a 2004 Cooper with the lower reverse light, and they plug right in. The only thing is that the reverse lights in the taillight itself won't work. But your lower reverse light still will.
