Hand washed my MINI today[still frost here at night,snow on the ground,] nice to do though ,just used very warm water,, :evil: bonnet looks good , grill took a small hit,,bottom grill in cowling is bent from snow ,it goes right over the car if it's dry,snow is fun,

Yes hand washing is the way to go. You get to spend quality time with your MINI. Sounds like your MINI has paid some dues so to speak.

At least you have your first few nicks out of the way. I don't have any as of yet, but I know the day is on the way when I find the first dent, scratch, etc...

However my 03 MCS is my hobby car, and only has 5800 miles on the clock so far. The MINI gets out of the garage from time to time, but here in Okla, we are into our storm season, which means high winds, hard rain, hail stones and a number of other things flying in the air, so not a safe place to be in a MINI. :???:
