36000 March 03 build

Tranny replaced early on. Hard going into reverse.
Leather peeled on steering wheel.

3rd set of brake pads, second set of rotors, but that is due to 11 track days:smile:

Brake lamp just went out yesterday. Cost $2.99 for a new one

Overall, I'm very pleased with the reliability of this car.

10000+ miles and not a glitch to date. First oil change coming up in about 1200 miles. I LOVE my '05 MCS!! See my gallery.

I just hit 20,000 miles and have had no issues. With every mod I add the mini just gets stronger.

24,900 miles, Nov 03 build "S" with JCW added at delivery. One normal service so far, added JCW 210 kit last year and had the squeeky sunroof lubed at that time. I do one oil change between the recommended ones. That's it. It just runs.

my tally...

fell in love in spring of 02 at MINI of Manhattan
ordered 8/22/02
born on 12/6/02 (TE16033)
delivered 1/21/03 (what a wait!)

03 MC CVT; 23,600 miles

12/9/03 stone chip caused stress crack in windscreen, replaced with PPG
1/21/04 peeling steering wheel replaced
11/2/04 brake fluid flushed, electrical system recall and flash of 38.1 done
1/19/05 3rd brake light lens cracked and replaced, mesh grilles replaced with plastic ones (on bonnet edge at windscreen)
2/14/05 PPG windscreen chipped badly "filled", stil not happy but won't replace yet...living with it
4/19/05 wheel arch over right front tire replaced (clip broke); broken tab on battery box (still not fixed, dealer disagrees, says it's ok)
5/4/05 SES light on, misfire in 4th cylinder
8/11/05 new battery (one bad cell), flatbedded from my house to dealer
8/11/05 boot recall on latch done (finally); inspection I done

wiper inserts, oil changes, and filter changes done as part of maintenance program as needed

still on original Goodyear runflats but anticipate new shoes next spring (only rotated twice, my bad)...one tire has a plug in it, and one has 2!

brakes still look good and I am living with the rattles and squeaks that come and go (hey, it's an early build )

ordered and delivered at Lauderdale MINI/BMW, now visits Century MINI/BMW in the upstate of SC

would I get another MINI? in a New York minute!!!!
