Can anyone comment on how good/bad this school is, i'm planning on going to willow springs on the 29th/30th of may and taking this 2-day class to learn to drive better... has anyone taken this class and if so can you comment on how much better you were or how much faster you go now because of your new knowledge... (kinda weird wording but it hink it makes sense)

If no this school is there anything else someone would suggest in order to learn to do all the cool stuff (i.e. launching, cornering, heel-toe, and the fundamentals of racing). I'm not planning on doing any auto-x because i already have the pulley so i'm screwed, and i don't wish to compete with modded m3's and such because i don't have the money to mod my car enough to the point where it could compete with them...

anyways, i'm getting ahead of myself, if anyone has information with regard to this driving school i'm open to any praises or critcisms, or if there are any better/cheaper alternatives..

I cant comment on that school, but I can comment on the "driving faster" after a racing class.

I took a racing course in my Mustang with a bunch of other Mustangs. After learning what your car can really do and everything, and being able to tell what other people were going to do before they do it, made me drive a LOT slower on the street. You begin to see how poorly everyone else is able to drive, and you start to shy away from them. At least thats my opinion.

I've been through the Fastlane school a few times when I had my Miata. I had a great time. We spent about an hour or so in the class going over the basics, then out to the track for a lot of track time. The classes were done through SOCALM (Miata club) so there was about 30 cars there, but I never felt like I didn't get enough track time.

To your question... Like bigpmj, as a general rule I find that I drive slower now, but I feel a lot more confident of what myself and the car can do when I want to push it.

All and all I would take a class from them again.
