mini cooper roof fitting
New to the forum, so Hi

I've just bought a MCS R53, with a passenger roof fitting (see pic), but I have no idea what it does. (see pic)

searched Google etc and no joy. Ideas anyone?

That is the interior motion sensor for your alarm.

Ah cheers,

I guessed it was some sort of smoke alarm or heating vent - just shows how much I know!

Is there a way to check its working?

Try sitting inside the car then set the alarm and see if moving around the alarm goes off.
