can some help with some questions

thinking about purchasing a coop looking at 2 the one i was going to buy sold this morning i test drove it and the ride was amazing it had 70,000 miles and had no known problems.. now another one im looking at has a 130,000 miles with no known problems im just really skeptical about getting a car with that much miles on it any suggestions anyone and does any one have a mini with that much miles on it or more and would it be a good purchase to get a mini with that many miles! and also i looked at a base mini with 80,000 but i am looking to get the cooper s but as i said it has 130,000 milies! really looking for some feed back and some help guys i really appreciate it! thanks

There are several potential problems with a MINI with that high of a mileage. It would be best to have it checked by a qualified MINI mechanic. My car (at 90k plus miles) has had lower control arm bushings replaced, oil pan gasket replaced, and radiator replaced. Others may chime in on other potential problems. If you search a bit, you will encounter a lot. Good luck.

Just as an FYI, the motors themselves should be solid to 250k or so, as well as they were maintained properly, but the standard for other things (S/C seals, belt tensioners, crank pulleys, suspention parts, etc.) starting to basiclly just age & wear out, is about 110-130k, just be prepared if these things haven't been done. It may sound a little scary but once these things are done, thats how long they'll last again, if not longer....and, it's Sooo Worth It.
