New findings every time I explore.

Decided to Plasti-Dip my wheels today to see how they would look white. After removing the passenger side wheel, I noticed a piece with a KTM brand on it. Any idea what this is? The original owner of the car did some modifications and every time I play around, I seem to find something new.

Appears to be an externally mounted oil cooler....not sure...but a few more views by others my confirm it....you could trace the lines back...see if they go too/from the oil filter area.....

EDIT...guess i haven't looked at that area in a bit!! A good thing!! Maybe my car is (knock on wood) too reliable! !!

The part you have pictured is the factory oil/coolant heat exchanger. It's purpose is to warm the engine oil during engine warm up and then maintain/cool the oil during engine operation. It's a good idea to check it for leaks from time to time. The rubber gaskets that seal it to the oil filter housing get hard with age and will at some point leak.

I see. The KTM part threw me off, as I know them of a motorcycle company. Did check the seal and it seems good for now.
