My ’03 Mini R50 @ 200K

Just turned 200K on the odometer and still running strong. I am the original owner and 95% of miles put on my Coop was from commuting on Highway 1, a two lane coast road w/many twists, turns, and hills. Started off at 38 mpg, now down to 33-34 mpg (probably be better if I replace the O2’s). In other words, it is the absolute perfect car for me.
Replaced – Radiator & Water pump @ 89K
Replaced – Power Steering pump @ 102k
Replaced – brake pads @110K
Replaced - #1 Exhaust Valve @ 195K
Replaced – Alternator & fan belt @ 197k
On my 7th set of tires
Changed oil and filter every 6-7K.
“Motor has never overheated.”
Annoyances – At 35K, right side Xenon headlight would not fire off right away and must recycle on/off switch many times in most cases to get it on. Fixed once on warranty, but problem immediately returned & persists.
- Check Engine light constantly on due to O2 sensor. Replaced once at extreme cost$$$.
Future Worries... Replacement of clutch & timing chain...?

03 R50 195K miles

Had clutch fail at 185K, No issues with O2 sensor, engine valve or Power Steering pump yet. Maybe 5 sets of tires ,other repairs similar to yours

Yup, won't be long & the 200k+ club won't be that exclusive.

Congratulations! Sounds like you're still in love with the MINI. I would be hard pressed to find a car that I would enjoy as much as my MINI.

Are you saying that you have not changed your thermostat or 2 stage cooling fan? Or is that considered normal and you did not list it?
