I took my car into Steve's Auto Clinic in North Hills, CA for an overheating problem. He diagnosed it as the low speed fan relay and he heard a bearing noise that I missed. He pulled the SC and serviced both ends and now the SC is super quiet. He said the water pump side still had oil but the pulley side was nearly dry.

Thank you Steve for saving me a couple of grand for a new SC.

 

What year is your MCS and how many miles?

2005 MCS, 93500 miles.

 

Did he replace any of the 3 oil seals and or the drain/fill plug o-ring up front? If not you'll be seeing him shortly again. Glad you're motoring though.

Cost about $65 in parts and $250 in labor.
