Does anyone know "why" the Anthracite Dash is being halted for a while. On at least three (3) boards...I've read that this pause will occur in November.

Please advise.. and thanks!

well i F##K'n hope not..i just told my dealer today to change it to anthracite , mine is scheduled for november production!! where did you hear this from?

 

I was @ my local dealer today...to get my 3.1 upgrade done , and he mentioned that the anthracite dash...was going to be discontinued also. He had no dates though as to when.. IMHO is say the anthracite for the 1st time..in person today...and I didn't like it at all......very bland looking , and a wierd color .....
just my opinion.

 

I agree. It looks pretty cheap IMO. That's why the anthracite is offered on the MINI ONE - the cheapest MINI model in England. It is dull and it kills the contrast of the MINI interior. It makes the interior very dark and unappealing (again, IMO).

 

Ditto for me. I test drove a mini with the anthracite dash in Cincinnati last weekend. I thought it had a transparent tape from the factory that needed to be peeled off, or that someone had put their shoes on the dash, before I realized this was the color. Unless you have seen it and really like it, I would suggest not getting it. I found it distracting and decreased the contrast. i
