Hey guys, just put in a Valeo clutch kit with the single mass flywheel and now the clutch is really soft. It engages but its super soft. It engages close to the floor to. Any ideas what would cause this? Thanks

 

Maybe the clutch needs to be bled (easier said than done -do a search on this).

 

Also have alot of noise coming from it. Doesnt seem as powerful as it used to be.

 

Subbed. I think I have the same thing, minus the noise. I seem to have about an inch or two of play in the pedal, and it takes less pressure to push in. Quicker stronger engagement for me though.

 

You want the clutch to grab early...typically grabbing late is when you have a problem.

Take a stick, place it between the bottom seat and your clutch pedal while it's against the floor. Leave it that way overnight. See if maybe that gets some of the bubbles out of the system.

 

Update: clutch has gotten a bit more stiffer. It still sounds like a old *** jeep though. I ordered a new slave cylinder so will see if this helps at all.
